It's all relative, bud. There's plenty of rural areas in SE Michigan where you still have a drive a very long way to get some groceries or gas.
For example, here's many square miles with only a few dozen homesteads.
That's no middle of nowhere, I know a guy who thinks "I" live in the middle of nowhere right now, because I live more than 15 minutes from a movie theater! lol lol AND, yes I have lived in the middle of nowhere in my life, so I do know what that's like.
Kinda reminds me of the guys that buy a tinkertoy tractor with the whiner transmission and then call it a beast! lol
