I've got two good Friday the 13th stories.
1. Wife and I dropped our kid off at in-laws so we could enjoy a nice dinner out at a fancy restaurant. I had some venison dish that was delicious. I threw up 5 minutes after eating it. Had to have the wife drive home. On way to in-laws to pick up kid... DEER! BAM!!! Hit the front right corner and did extensive damage to hood, fender, bumper, grill, and passenger door. Picked up the kid, got home, and while staggering to bed felt squish squish squish in the carpet with every step. Water bed had sprung a leak and the liner failed. We slept on the sleeper sofa that night.
2. Friday the 13th, working at airport for an FBO that was in bankruptcy receivership. Comptroller told us we were going to close as they couldn't find a buyer, so we all got 2 week notice that day. Friend of mine who's father lost the company to embezzlement from business partner got really mad and walked out. My line chief said "Watch XXXX. He usually does a burnout when he leaves, but today he'll be extra mad, so bigger burnout." Well, guy hops into his ratted out 66 Corvette convertible 327/350hp, drives off the ramp, does his burnout, looses control, jumps the curb and runs under the wing of a Mooney 201 that just came out of the paint shop that day after spending months in repair from running off the end of the runway. And HE was the one that parked it there instead of putting it away in it's T-hanger. He hit the outer end of the left wing and went right under it, putting a large dent in the leading edge and cracking his windshield and chrome trim. He was maybe 18 years old at the time.
He called his insurance agent and told him he'd just hit an airplane with his corvette and asked what he should do. The insurance agent said "Well, the first thing you're going to do is sell that corvette, because you'll never be able to afford insurance ever again in your life."
Anyhow, only 2 Friday the 13th's out of my 60 something years had anything "bad" happen on them, so probably just like any of the other days in my life.
