Looks like you could be busy for awhile. nice find or is it on your property? Is it public access. A week ago the county cut some big dead maples down on the roadside in front of my place and even though they belong to the adjacent landowner I still moved fast to get it out of there before somebody came along and thought it was there to be had.I probably will have 8 to 10 cords or more when it's split. Looks like your going to have lots, will you burn it yourself or is the plan to sell it?

That will start rotting in a few years time. Better start sooner than later. Got your hands full though it looks.

All you see is on my property and it's free to a good home! I will burn what I can but I got more than I"ll ever need. I still have tons standing!

We essentially have the same problem around here. Everyone that I talk to says that they burn wood for heat but you can't get anyone to come get the wood for free to haul it away.

We don't heat with it so when we fell trees we have wood to give away or it needs to be burned just to get rid of it. Most times it gets taken up to our burn pile, cut-up and torched. Just seems like an awful waste of good firewood to me.

gmsssi,

I have been considering taking you up on your offer.
A few things that are making me reluctant.
1. I already have enough firewood for the next 3 years.
2. I would need to make space for more wood.
3. I need to check the brakes on my trailer. Got a bit hot when I used it last (getting firewood from another place).
4. It's a little over 100 miles (round trip) to your place.
