Yanmar YM2000
Just watched last week's season premiere episode of NatGeo's Life Below Zero. I have come red before about And Bastitch having a yanmar before. I think its a ym2010 with a Coldwater loader. But this episode as he was picking up the logs from his boat landing you could see the Hoye sticker on the loader arm. I clearly read Hoye and saw their logo on it but it's cause I am familiar with it, most may not have been able to read it as it was only on camera for a second. It's the sticker that they send with an order that's says for "parts call Hoye tractor" or whatever it actually says.

Love the show. I too had noticed the Coldwater loader on Andy's Yanmar but missed the Hoye sticker. Watching always makes me wonder how these people have made a living prior to TV contracts. Andy has a Bombardier WTS, a track loader, telehandler, the Yanmar, Stihl, Dewalt, Makita etc. power tools, large boats and outboards, snow mobiles and those are the things that come to mind immediately . NOTHING is cheap by the time it gets up there. Any idea where the money came from prior to TV?

Andy at one point i beleive said he was a riverboat captain. I think i temember that as well.

I wondered where he lived around Eagle and i started looking and i found him upriver from the town. I used what i could se on airial shots, the shots of the river and around his place. I found his homestead. Ford Lake is a good clue, i found rmhis pkace and the bend in the river, the lake helped before i even knew the name of it. Someone has even labeled the island by his place Bastitch Island. I have found many of the peoples places on my Alaska shows, life below zero, yukon men etc, i use the town pkus shots i have seen from the air to locate where they are

Haha! I saw that too! Andy has been a good customer of ours for quite a while. You could catch small glimpses of his Yanmar in the background in several shots over the years but this was the first closeup I have seen. I could not imagine living out there like that. Brrrrrr.

Interesting, was not aware of that show, but have friends who live and work in Alaska through the winter in the oil business, and keep a summer home in the Fla. Keys. (yep, I thought so too:confused2:
