I am installing a new aftermarket side mount distributor on my 1955 850 Ford.The hex shaft came out when removing the old one.The hex hole in the bottom of the new distributor is not holding the shaft when i hold the dist vertical so i put some permatex in the hole to hold the shaft in place so i can install it.Other making sure the hex shaft properly engages the oil pump,is there anything else i need to know.Thanks for any ideas.
