Several, all used and abused.
I think it's a coyote. My wife is convinced that it's a grey fox because of it's tail and ears. She thinks the ears are rounded. I don't see it.

The legs seem too long to be a fox so have to go with coyote (but want it to be a fox because I hardly ever see them...).

I've seen a few grey foxes over the years, but not as often as I've seen coyotes.

One time I was on the dam for my pond and two of them walked across the dam, towards me. I laid down on the grass so I wouldn't be so noticeable, and they walked right past me, about 20 feet away!!!

Couple of years ago I was out squirrel hunting and two fairly good size critters ran past me so fst they were a blur, and then they ran about 20 feet straight up a huge old Oak tree. My first thought was it was two mountain lion cubs but it was two grey fox. Super cool!

Your Western coyotes are smaller than ours but I still say coyote.Ours crossed with wolves at some point,up to fifty pounds.

I don't have fox around here. If that is a coyote - sure a lot skinnier and smaller than what I get here.

We have lots of fox and every now and then a coyote.
The legs and ears look like coyote to me.
But the tail looks like fox.

Coyote, based on the tail, and body shape/leg length. We get lanky coyotes and chunky ones, and not all of the lanky ones are youngsters here.

We had a red fox peer in the living room windows one year, but normally they are more cryptic and elusive than the mountain lions, though I occasionally find fox scat and footprints.

All the best,

Peter

I vote coyote. I have a couple of red foxes that visit several times a day/night looking for scraps. Their legs are fairly short.

I say coyote...I believe TX coyotes are small in size than NH.

We had a mating pair of foxes this year. They were small, similar to a 20# cat (we were adopted by one of those also).

Suspect that's a Coyote photo.

Fox? Seems on the small side for a coyote and pointy faced.

I struggle trying to figure out if we have wolves or really big coyotes. Maybe eastern coy-wolves...
