FOUND: vintage tractor seat!

My friend was clearing a spot for his shop when he uncovered this antique tractor seat. I helped him move some dirt w/ my tractor and he gave it to me, he didn't even know what it was. I need some help identifying it. It's in really great shape, it is stamped steel, and it has STERLING MFG. CO. stamped into the front of the seat. I was hoping someone here would know what type of tractor it came off of. I can't think of any other place that has this much collective knowledge with this sort of thing and any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. I will post a pic if necessary but to me all these antique seats look relatively similar. It is steel, shaped like my backside, and has two rows of slots stamped out of it with a sqare mounting hole in the middle. It has no residual paint anywhere on it, easing identification by color. thanx

There was a thing on Antiques Roadshow this last week down here, and some of those old seats would bring $1000.00. Yours, on the other hand might not be worth as much, but don't get taken. Check around, if value is not great moneywise, they are still neat to have. I have seen some fastened to old car coil springs mounted on an old disc for the base.

I'm not planning to sell it, and yes i think it's neat! It's already mounted on the wall in my house! I'm just REALLY curious what kind of tractor it came off of.
