After 20 hrs on my new (last fall) 20 HST most of them snow blowing and driveway clearing, I decided to grease everything up for summer and danged if I didn't find a little bitty tool box under the floor boards on the left side. Just big enough for a few pins and clips/ I have been wondering where to put a real toolbox on the thing. Finding this one takes some of the pressure off but I still would like to put a few wrenches and a rubber hammer on the tractor somewhere, but there does not seem to be a handy place. Thought about replacing the SMV sign with a tool box but the BH and snow blower need that space.
I guess the little tool box is in lieu of the mid PTO that was not supplied with my tractor.

The fuel tank on the CK20 takes up the logical spot for a tool box so they compromised with the under floor wrench box. I used it simply to keep the appropriate wrenches and shear bolts for my mower and not much else. A few guys have taken ammo boxes and welded them to the FEL post but that interferes with entry. The new FEL has a nice two inch open pipe as a torque tube so that would make a dandy place for some inventive genius to figure out a canvas roll up tool arrangement to keep there.:)

I was surprised to find the little tool box since the dealer didn't tell me about it and it is not mentioned in what passes for an owners manual.
That tube on the FEL intrigues me also- some guys claim you can fit adult beverages in there but I haven't figured how to keep them cold. I have looked all over the little beast for a place to put one of those ammo boxes, I had one mounted behind the seat on my old Chinese Tractor and it was handy. There is just no logical spot for a tool box since as you point out they put the fuel tank right behind the seat.
This also makes it hard for an old dude like me to get that six gal can of diesel up there and not spill it. I have got to look into a 5 gal drum pump or something.

Oh. That's a tool box ? I thought it was a prototype beverage holder....

Seems like it would hold 2 juice boxes and one of those little blue freezer pack thingys to keep them cold....

Actually, it is quite handy, I keep a few wrenches, a pair of pliers and some snowblower shear pins in there... a spot for a larger box would be nice though...
