Happy Monday everybody.

I was moving the 47" snowblower for my '99 455 AWS yesterday and got to wondering if anyone makes or had fabbed a small bucket or forks for the Quick Hitch attachment for light use? I know that the QH and front midmower attachment occupy the same space but I should think it would be easy enough to make something to keep the front of the mower deck up (a hook to the frame?) so you can drop the attachment.

Anybody done this? Is there a reason this is not a good idea?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

My initial thought is it could be done, but for light use only. I don't think I have seen it done, would be interesting though.

Doesn't the Johnny bucket that JD makes work. On one tractor, it fits over the front blade, but on another, perhaps the new x500 series it is a separate thing.

Yes, apparently it does. Didn't understand that the Johnny bucket worked off the quick hitch. I've since had a conversation with them about it - you get the blade and angle bracket and parts from JD and a conversion kit from JB. I'll probably look into it but it sounds $$$$.
