Spring is happening real quick here in MA. Us wood burners are having trouble keeping up as the developers plant their spring houses. The wood on the back of the tractor was picked up, I figure 2-3 cords (like 5 loads) and another 6 cord arrived by truck. Now the problem is, the grass is turning green and it won't be with logs sitting on it! Logs attached. SteveV

Since the bucket is near useless moving logs, the carry all started looking real interesting. The carryall seemed pretty strong when moving pallets of firewood earlier in the season right at the capacity of the 3PH. SteveV

So, there were the bars of 3" x quarter flat and the 2 and a half" angle just getting rusty next to the wife's car. Where's that tape measure? C clamps attached. SteveV

Steve, there must be more to this story??? I'm dying to see the finished product!

Looks like you've got plenty of wood /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Steve, I built frames on a bunch of pallets (2x stock on corners and sides, just over 2 feet high) so I can put about a quarter of a cord on a pallet. Works great and is easy to stack. The uprights are only in the corners so you have easy access to all sides. I use a junk pallet covered with a tarp as acover on each stack that isn't under the barn. (I'll snap a picture after I plow - of the snow stops that is) Just the thing for front forks!

So now your carry-all can double up as front loader forks --- good idea -- wish I could weld.

Here's the first assembly of the mounting and the carryall. The mounting frame is bolted to the carryall with (4) one half bolts. Since this was a hurry up project, the holes for the loader arm attachment pins were just drilled through rather than bushed like 'Bota did on their buckets. Because of the small bearing area, 5x1 bolts were used since I didn't want to mung up the original loader arm pins. Clamp up attached. SteveV

The other thing you'll notice is the mounting to the back of the loader bucket is not vertical when the bucket is flat on the ground. It leans forward I figure around 20 degrees. Since the forks need roll back, this angle needs to be carried to my mounting, hence the angle iron tabs at the top. It would have been real simple without this angle to deal with. Another view attached. SteveV

The weather isn't cooperating with this thread either, this morning I took some pix of the last logs going on the pile and my cut, split and palletized in the sleet only to have the camera battery go dead and loose them. You live where I like to play; hiked Rose and Winn mtns 2 weeks ago with just a wind break. Read down for more pix. SteveV

I live on the south slope of Winn Mountain. If you come across a big old connected house on Holt Road, with a 6 ft. high steel dragon in the yard - that would be us. Stop in any time.
