I have about 3.5 acres that will be clear by forestry mulching that will event be horse pasture. The 3.5 acres consists of mostly pines with a few gum trees through biggest being maybe 12” in diameter. My worry is after the mulching on what to do with the stumps and worry’s of regrowth. Plan is to mulch then burn the pasture area.

Mulching should take the stumps to ground level. So disc up the area and seed with grass and cut regularly. If your concern is horses and holes eventually from the stumps causing issues that may be valid for pulling some of the larger stumps.

I thin my pine stands. You should not get regrowth from the pine stumps. They start from pine cone seeds. I don't know about your gum. If you get regrowth - just go out and hack the young stuff down.

If there's a lot of gum, you could spray to stop the sprouts.
