After using a little tractor and a chainsaw, I would recommend goats. The problem then is keeping them contained. I have heard they like poison ivy and all kinds of stuff.

Hehe! I'd love some goats.. the acreage is fully fenced for my horses, so that could be a possibility!

Guess that means I get a new chainsaw, at least.

I parlayed "clearing the brush" into a PTO chipper and three saws. That cost less than hiring it out!

I've used 20% Triclopyr (Garlon 4) in diesel as a stump or basal treatment with good results. It even kills Eucalyptus which is very hardy invasive species.

You might want to try a skid steer with a brush mower on the front. It can stay out of the dirt and has a lower psi than most tractors.
