Buying Advice ford

Looking for a used tractor to use around the house, small garden, scrape driveway and such, want to spend about $5000. Found a 2815, not very good condition. What other fords should I look at.

Sorry it took me awhile to get back, I was out of town. As far as what year, 80's and up, condition is very important to me.

Methinks you wont buy much of a Ford from the 80s for $5k. Maybe one of those little Shibura built ones. If you are willing to go 10 years older you could find something like a 2/3/4000 or 26/36/4600 Ford in that price range.
You don't say what kind of HP requirements you have. HP will make a lot of diference in value too.

Under 40 horsepower, found several nice tractors on tractor house between $5000. And $7500, but mostly $7500. Thanks.

only tractor in that price range and horsepower and years will be a 2310 or 2610 but it will be hard to find a good shape with mid range to low hours they bring more than 5k at most auctions if in good shape

yea i would step up 1500-2000 and get a 2810, 2910, or 3910 for around 6500-7000 they or a much better tractor than a 2310-2610 they have better brakes and better hyds. plus a heavier rear end
