I have a Ford 260c 8x8 trans(same trans as the 545, 454, 345, 250c)
When it is cold it works fine. But as the tractor warms up it starts slipping BAD
I first noticed it last year when I drove the tractor about 1/2 mile down the road to my neighbors to get a bucket load of topsoil. Flat road and noticed my speed slowly decreasing.
Then about a moth a go I went to another neighbors to help them move something. They live up a hill. As I was climbing the hill the tractor just kept loosing speed, I even took it from 4th and put it in 2nd. Then I crested the hill but it just kept loosing speed.
Well today I was using it around the house and I noticed it slipping quite a bit even in 2nd and on level ground.
I NEED for this tractor to work. What should I be looking at?
