I going to replace the fuel filter on this 4 cylinder shibaura, engine.
I have read the manual and I don't see any problem but thought I would ask if there are any tip/tricks to make the job easier cleaner.
This machine has a Great Bend laoder on it.

I did my fuel filter last year and I don't recall it being very difficult at all. It was pretty simple and trouble free.

I replace my TC34DA fuel filter every year and it is easy especially on the 1710, 1910 and 1920. I use to do it on my dad's 1710 when I was eleven or twelve years old. God, I am getting old....:laughing:

Step/Tip 1
Turn the fuel off, unscrew the ring, pull the cup off (make sure not to lose the rubber o-ring around the cup) and pull the fuel filter off the peg it is connected to.

Step/Tip 2
I always clean the bottom of the cup before I put a new filter in.

Step/Tip 3
Connect the new fuel filter to the peg first, fill the fuel filter cup with diesel fuel, then put the cup over the new fuel filter and screw it back together. This prevents air from getting into the fuel line. Now turn the fuel back on.

Step/Tip 4
I always open the bleeder value/nut to let any residue air out of the fuel line. If only fuel comes pouring out and no air bubbles, you are good to go to start the tractor. If you see air bubbles, let the value/nut stay open unit only fuel comes out. Now start the tractor and let it run. It should be fine.

This how I do it, but others might have a different way or easier way.
