Ford New Holland 4630

I have a ford New Holland 4630, When i crank it it starts very easy, then for a second it sounds like it is going to die then picks back up and runs great
Have put new key switch, new fuel shut off solenoid, checked all wiring.
Acts like it is shuting the fuel off for a second.

Could it just be a cold weather/cold engine situation? Do you use your glow plugs before starting. Depending on temperature, ill keep my on from 6 seconds to 20 seconds and set my throttle at approx. 1000 rpms.

No cold weather. Have in 75 degree garage. 4630 does not have glow plugs

Isn't there a small multi contact relay that energizes the fuel solenoid? I had a similar problem on my TC30 last year and found this relay contacts burnt. I opened it and took a business card and cleaned the points. No more problems since. Just thinking??

Already replaced with new relay

I'm as lost as you are now. I know your frustrated, but greasing the high lift fern docket may help!! ). I'll go on UTube and see if I can find something.

My friend and I visited about your situation. You do know that the tank is clean, safety switches connections are clean and the switch(s) are functioning, the wire to the fuel pump is a good wire and has not been crimped and cut or insulation is off and wire shorting out, and fuel is not restricted from tank to pump.
I don't think I've helped cause I think you've already checked all is these things. Hope you find the culprit. Larry
