Ford New Holland 1215 Head

I'm new to this site as my nephew and I just bought a Ford 1215 4x4 with 60" belly mower, 3-point snowblower, and blade, and a little ford wagon. We knew the engine had low compression so the first thing we did was pull the head and it was easy to diagnose the problem. The valve seats are shot but worse, the center chamber has several tiny cracks. I took the head to a local machine shop and they said it's beyond repair so I need help. I spent the last week searching for a head that won't break the bank. Does anyone have a head or know where I can get one? Thanks.

You may be able buy one from Messicks for about $1500 + but it's perhaps worthwhile to get second & third opinions for rebuilding it first.

Looks like 1120, 1210, 1215, 1220,and 1310 use the same cylinder head!

New Holland: REMAN-CYLINDER H, Part # SBA111016622R​

It's well worth buying it if the tractor is good otherwise and you plan on keeping it!

That should be the Shibaura diesel. You'll need the casting number but I did a quick search on Ebay and got a bunch of hits.

While the head is off, inspect the cylinders too.

If you buy a new head, suggest you buy it from Messick's!
They are the best tractor, and tractor parts folks in the business!

Hello, did you find what you were looking for? We have a Ford 1215 and the engine locked up. We had it rebuilt five years ago and are ready to throw in the hat! We're looking for suggestions or someone wanting it for parts.

Sad to hear the engine locked up - any ideas on why that happened?

(Sounds like the rebuild did not work out)
