I have a 1954 NAA that I am using with a 6' King Kutter finish mower.

I have shortened the chains on the 3-point hitch to limit mower sway.

Questions: How much sway is acceptable? I see that sway bars are sold on some sites. Should they be used? I need new chains anyway so should I buy ones with turnbuckles so they would be more adjustable?

Sure appreciate any advice.

TSC sells the solid bars for about 8$ each.. plus a under-the-fender bracket kit with 2 brackets for about 8$.. then you need 2 short stubby 3pt pins.. sometimes the brackets come with the stubby pins.

I use them.. I don't like my mower swinging to the side when i make a hard turn. Sometimes that inch or 3 of movement makes the difference of missing or taping out a fence post.. or one of the wifes plants.. etc. Here's a rear pic of my 8n. Setup will be identical for the NAA..
