I just got this ole girl rewired and starts great but spits oil out of the starter motor shaft? should there be a cap? The outside look treaded please let me know.
I was wrong its not the starter its the end of the hydraulic pump? the end near to the bell housing. The outside is threaded. Should there be a cap on it. In the owners (almost usless) handbook it shows a proof meter cable comimg out so is it just a cable drive I tried unscrewing it and it almost backed out so I screwed it back in. Should it have some preload? If fluid is getting passed it is a seal gone? I bought two of these beuties at the same time (such a deal) the other one has no cover but what loos like a plug in the end. I bet I could get it at my local car parts store if I knew what I needed. Any body out there?
