ford 8n wont start when cold;

I have a 1952 Ford 8-n tractor with a positive ground. If the tractor set and gets cold for me to start it, it has to be jumped then it runs fine. whats the problem?

What other information can you give us? Does it act like the battery is dead? Or does it spin over fine and just wont start? And will it restart on its own after its been running awhile? TB

Yep need to know mor einfo.. does she actually have a bad battery and spin slow.. does she have wimpy 4ga automotive bat cables designed for 12v.. vs the beefy 00 cables that 6v needs.

is the battery good? terminals clean? good ground to the steering box ( not the battery box ).

clean correctly gapped points? good non fouled plugs?

got good compression?

fuel system in good health?
