Ford 801 diesel
Hello,
My name is George and I am new to the forum.
I have a Ford 801 diesel tractor. runs and starts great, hot or cold. Maintains good oil pressure (hot and cold) problem is, when it gets hot, especially when brush hogging at higher rpms, it leaks oil from the breather on the side of the valve cover. I do not notice any lost of power, brush hogs great. Could this be blow-by? any ideas?
Thanks for your help,
George

Welcome to the Site. It has been years since I had one of those 4 cylinder diesel's as I recall mine did the same thing it wasn't a lot just enough to make a small mess. I figured it was blow by and not having any type of recirculating system for the pressure build up was causing it. If you can get a hold of Soundguy here on the Forum I am sure he has the low down on the problem.

I see most of Soundguy's post in the Ford Vintage Section. I would look him up and maybe send a pm to him to see what his experience as been .
