Ford 771 front loader can not pick the front wheels of a 1974 ford 3000.

Im sorry i dont understand what that is. I know that my lift cylinders are single acting sady, but the bucket cylinders are double. Can you please explain in better details? I know the principles of hydraulic from learning from school. The single lift cylinders just have one metal/rubber seal on the outside and a big i think its a hard rubber brand where it looks like a cone without the top. It goes from flat to then get thicker on the end, im geting its the main seal that the hydraulic fuild pushes on. That main seal look fine the out seal had alot of clearance so i replaced it. I think the outer seal caused the hydraulic fuild to shoot out when i raised the loader.

Get a few pictures of your cylinders.

If it's a single acting cylinder it will have only 1 hose going Into it on the bottom. If single it will only have power to lift. It will fall by gravity when you let it down. It won't lift the tractor because the cylinder only pushes one way, up.

If it's a double acting cylinder it will have 2 hoses. One on top and bottom. It then should have pressure to lift the tractor off the ground

your lift cyls are SA, then you will need DA cyls, if you want down pressure.

to do along with that.. your control valve will need to be DA capable. right now obviously it is a SA spool, or it is a DA spool in SA mode. Many spools can be configured as either SA or DA.
