Ford 758B backhoe swing arm cylinder repair

Hello all,

I have a Ford 1920 tractor with a 758B backhoe. One of the swing arm cylinders is leaking and I need to repair it but I'm not sure how to really go about it other than just start tearing it apart. Does anyone have any experience replacing the seals on the swing arms or any instructions? Any help is greatly appreciate. Thank you.

Show a picture of the cyl. Not all people know what a ford 758b backhoe is like, but the cyl might be a different story.

Generally cylinders aren't too hard to reseal but it depends on the specific cylinder. When you do seals, you should do all of them when you have cylinder apart and make sure to always oil the seals and/or O-rings. Vaseline or grease is good to put on the seals that slide into the cylinder body to prevent them from getting damaged on installation. Even if you took the cylinder to a hyd. shop, it shouldn't be too expensive to have it done. Ford/NH may have a seal kit available (which a lot people say is best to use OEM) and if not a seal house could match them up.

Sure about the model......maybe a 755B..??

50mm rod size by 110mm bore swing cyl?......best to get complete seal kit rather than individual match of these metric seals, you'll get a better result

OOps, did a google search and see you have a 758B attachment....my bad......(not 755B)

Should be straight forward repair
