Ford 575D backhoe hydraulics question

I recently picked up a Frod 575D backhoe. I am looking into the possiblity of attaching an Erskine Model 2418 snowblower in place of the front bucket for winter use. The snowblower requires 27-32 GPM flow. Question - is this a feasible project? And, will it require a seperate pump and reservoir?

27 to 32 GPM's of pump flow would take about 55 to 66 HP to achieve 3000 psi.

This PTO pump will produce about 21 GPM's, at 2250 psi.

They have another pump that runs at 1000 rpm's, and will produce about 40 GPM's

At 30 gpm, and a fairly large cooler, your 575D will hydraulicaly be able to handle the snowblower.

You'll need to run the proper size hoses up the loader arms, and install a diverter valve in the system, in between the loader and BH valves.

Thanks for your responses. I am still debating whether this project is feasible. One problem is where to mount a reservoir on the backhoe, or would the primary reseroir of the backhoe hydraulic systme work.

It is feasible, the hardest part is running the hoses up to the loader arms.

The original reservoir will be sufficient.

Once again, thanks fior the help. This is the information I have been looking for. Now that it is warming up a bit, and the snow is melting, I hope to get started on this project and be ready for next winter. Will keep you informed.
