Tractor
Ford 5640 SL
Hello Everyone, I just want to say thank you for sharing knowledge here; these forums have helped me in the past when I came to lurk for answers.

I purchased a tractor with 3pth snowblower and then purchased a loader to fit on it.

Can I / or how can I, have control of both sets of circuts? (4 total circuits)

Details: (With pictures to help my convoluted descriptions)
-Tractor is a Ford 5640 SL with a cab
-3pth with draft sensing top link
-2 factory rear remote controls
-Tractordata.com puts it at an open center hydraulic system at a rate of 18.2gpm
-The snowblower and loader each have 2 hydraulic circuts; for a total desired circut control of 4
-The tractor came with a sectional hydraulic control valve assembly pre-intalled in the cab with all lines routed through the floor. 4 valves on the assembly in total. The valve assembly main supply and return lines have male quick connects routed but diconnected from the factory rear remotes. The control valves currently have all of their lines capped, I don't use them for anything yet, and I can't find any information on them.
-I don't need simultaneous control of the circuts... Although loader simultaneous lift and curl would be nice.

My first instinct was to install a summit hydraulic multiplier to add another circuit to be routed to the valve assembly to control my loader. The valve assembly woud give me control of the 2 loader circuts when I selected it on the hydraulic multiplier.

I assumed the valve assembly was actually connected to the rear remotes at one time before I purchased it and so also assumed that would work... but when I started digging into it; I get lost on if that should work on an open center circut without power beyond. (Napkin diagram pictured)

Apologies on the complexity, and if it's not articulated very well.

Welcome to TBN!

I don't follow why you wouldn't uncap the 4 section valve and use that instead of adding on more valves.

Thank you! Glad to be joining this community.

Apologies, I'm not very good at explaining. That's what I was hoping to do, but would just plugging them into the rear remotes work?

In effect wouldn't they be in series with the rear remotes? So not receiving hydraulic pressure until I actuate the factory valve in the cab to let it flow to the 4 section valve assembly?

It's completely possible I am over thinking this. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

The 2 lines off of that valve, inlet/outlet are just hanging and not plugged in? Yes, you could plumb through the existing remote and tie open to divert that flow through you valve, but there may be another way to plumb that valve into the system

Yep, you got it those hoses are just hanging/tied up right now. They each have a male quick connect on them.

The factory valves in the cab lock in either direction, so I would not have to tie it open. Interesting, I was assuming it would be more complicated than that.

Well they lock in until you have pressure against them. If you had a cylinder on one of them and it bottomed out, it would kick out of the detent. The detent can be adjusted to be stiffer

Ah, right they are detent valves. Either way that answers my question, thank you very much.
