Ford 5600 8 x 2 transmission. A good drip every second is coming from the spot marked with a purple arrow in the photo. It's transmission oil and not engine oil. Does this require splitting the tractor? My knowledgeable FNL says it to not worry about it too much.

It will take a split to fix it. Sooner or later the oil will affect the clutch. Fix it when you can’t stand it any more.

Thanks. What would cause this leak?

If it is hydraulic oil the most likely origins would be an input shaft seal failure or missing soft plug from a shift rail bore.
