For that year I would not be to worried about the tranny if you could try it out. But if it is not working it makes that kind of hard. Have you talked to a couple dealers to see if any of them could try to locate you one or see if they know of somewhere you could find one? If you can't find one then there is no sense in getting the tractor but you would think you should be able to find one somewhere. Take care.
