Working on the restpration of my 68 UK made diesel with SIMM IP Ford 5000, i've discovered that the fuel tank has lots of cracks and is beyond repair, so i started to look for a new aftermarket fuel tank.
The i've realized that there is supposed to be a difference between Simm type IP equiped tractor fuel tank and CAV type. I've traced part numbers down to a new common part number that superseeds all previous for both IP types (83917631). Is there actually a difference between fuel tanks?
