Ford 445 Block Heater?

Hi fellow Ford 445 owners! Trying to locate or purchase and install the block heater unit on my '83 Ford 445. Where is it supposed to be / go? I have the owners manual and repair manual but I can't find any info on this. Thanks in advance!

1-1/2 inch frost plug heater goes on the right side of the block between the starter and injection pump. Your New Holland dealer probably has them on the shelf. P/N 86590140.

I still can't seem to pinpoint the exact location of the block heater outlet. Attached are a few photos of the areas I think it might go. There's quite a few to choose from.

Does that block heater port cover just pop out to put in the heater device? Will coolant come out? Never done this before and new to tractors. Thanks again

You'll have to drain the coolant. Then take a punch and hit the frost plug off center. This will turn it so you can grab it with a pair of pliers and remove it. Make sure the hole is clean and then install the block heater and add the coolant.

I installed them on my 3910 and 555A. I sure feel better when I crank them cold after they've been plugged in for a couple hours. Crank right up.

The darn starter is in the way on this tractor and it's hard to plug in after you get it installed. Spent hours on this install thought it was going to be easy it's not. Now I have to go out there and try to tighten it up again leaking like crazy. I had to bend the heater to get it to fit in the engine block that was fun - not.
