Ford 4200 Oil Pressure

The warning light for low oil pressure has come on for my mid 60s Ford 4200. How do I test the pressure? How would I replace a faulty sender with a gauge if pressure is okay. If not okay, do I change the oil pump? Thanks!

The easiest way to test the pressure is probably to remove the sending unit and install the pressure gauge at that point. Normally the sending unit screws into the block. If the pressure is in fact low it could be the oil pump but it's also possible the spring in your pressure relief valve is tired. Try to track down a parts breakkdown of your engine. if this is the case. It should show where everything goes.
