Ford 4000 upgrade

I'm looking to replace a Ford 4000SU tractor. Replacement will have loader and backhoe. 4000 doesn't. Replacement needs to be big enough to handle a 6' rotary mower and 9' sickle bar mower, but small enough to mow about 6 acres of yards with finish mower. Loader and backhoe need to go on and off easily since they will be mostly off. Tractor needs to be as low as possible so I can mow under trees easily. Suggestions? Opinions? Advice?

Looks like the larger Kubota Compact tractors in the L Series would handle everything nicely EXCEPT that 9 ft Sickle Mower which takes a big tractor.

Thanks. That's along the lines I've been thinking. Other possibilities so far are Deere 4700 and NH TC45. Dealers I've talked with think large compact tractor will do what I want better than small ag tractor, so that's direction I'm leaning - for now anyway!

Your requirements point in two directions. The sickle bar requires a very heavy tractor which will, by default, be a higher HP tractor. The finish mower should not have any thing stronger than a 40hp tractor, at least the finish mowers that I am familiar with. Most finish mowers state that their warranty is null an void if used with a tractor over ?? HP. My older 72" 3pt finish mower has a published limit of 25HP but I use it with a 40HP tractor.
Your dealer(s) should be able to help you balance the two needs and Wen may be right that a tractor like the TC45D or the JD4700 might be the best match.
