Was using my freinds Ford 4000 for loading some horse poo yesterday and encountered a problem that I was hoping someone here had seen.
I may not have enough details, but here is what I believe to be true.
It has a great bend loader.
It has what clearly appears to me to be an aftermarket loader control (I suspect it is a GB) mounted on the right fender.
The loader Hydraulics come off ports in the back behind the seat, and loop to the control.
there is a fore and aft "diverter" control directly under the seat, which if I am understanding correctly is changing my hydraulic flow from the loader to the TPH.
The "diverter" lever, is just above the TPH control, which travels in an arc up and down.
While using the loader, I beleive particularly when under heavier loading, the diverter lever constantly pops "forward" which is the TPH position. So, as you are utilizing the loader, it constantly stops operation till you reach under the seat and push the "diverter" lever to the rear and it will again operate.
My buddy was thinking possibly that it was a filter problem or something similar.
I figured I would lay it out here and someone would have probably experienced this in the past and could point me in the right direction to start looking.
I do not see the tractor daily, but if more details are needed I do have access too it and can obtain additional data.
