Make sure you get something with the skid steer style mount. But I'd be careful of Koyker because right I'm having problems with my Koyker SS Mount that I just started using. Not sure if its the mount that's the problem or if its the attachments.. I have two different attachments and both are giving me trouble so I'm leaning toward the mount from Koyker. Other than that they are a wonderful company and easy to work with. I can guarantee it will fit like a glove and everything comes ready to go.

There are a LOT of tractors under the Ford 4000 name. Be sure you know the cylinder count, year, model, etc.

Koyker makes a fine loader. So does Westendorf. If you can find a used factory loader the price will be lower, but expect to fix welds and repack cylinders maybe replace the valve too. 30-40 years of use takes a toll.

Ok thanks. Will the fact that it has a cab affect the type of loader it will take? Thanks

If you go to Koyker web site they you can see if they have one to fit the 4000 with a cab or not. From my quick search it looks like they dont have one that work with a cab. But without the cab you can use a 220 loader.
I would call Koyker and see what they tell you.

A new Koyker or Westendorf would be a great choice....however, I am a bargain shopper and where do bargain shoppers go? Ebay. There is currently an auction running for a factory Ford loader for your model, "no breaks, bends or welds" with rebuilt cylinders that will sell for probably less than 25% of what a new FEL will cost. You always have to contend with "is it close enough to justify getting it" when buying large items from ebay but patient watching is the key and the best deals I have gotten have been purchased this way. I see these used loaders very often on the net.

make sure you are deciding between a 3cyl 4000 and a 4 cyl 4000.
