Ford 4000 3 cyl diesel NO STEERING

Ford 4000 3 cyl diesel NO STEERING



We had fluid coming out of steering wheel and rebuilt as in thread I previously found
Now, I have no steering, maybe quarter turn and push back.
Did we put something together wrong or is it power steering pump?

Power steering lines were crossed.
I posted some pics I hope
I was told today that it may be a Ford 4400 Industrial instead of a Ford 4000
I am waiting for it to warm up and connect water hoses and try to find serial and unit numbers
Any info appreciated Thanks

Hmm, It has the big rearend with wet brakes like my 4500 but it has the little light duty front axle instead of the fabricated box beam front axle like mine....

does it use radius rods?

ford used radius rods on light duty front ends at least into the late 70's. then you had the light and hd inustrials with fixed axles. and then the common telescoping axles like you normally find on the 4000+ 3/4 cyl jobs

maybee on something with a real screen but not my phone!

if it has rad rods and a fixed axle, then yeah.. likely a 4400 / industrial

numbers on bellhousing and under hood would narrow that down
