Ford 345C Tractor Value

What might the value be of a 1990 Ford 345C loader tractor. It is diesel, 2WD, 1130 hrs, real good shape, has good tires, loader, PTO, drawbar, and 3 pt hitch.

How much lift capacity do the loaders have and what is the Hp of the 345C?

Does Ford make a backhoe for the 345, 445, or 545 chassis?

I just recently purchased a 1990 Ford 345C with less than 500 hours. I paid $12,800 and felt is was a good value. The tractor is a 2WD with R4 tires, 3pt hitch , pto with rear weights. The transmision is an 8x8 fully syncronized shuttle shift. These tractors are 52hp and the loaders have a 3,000 lb capacity with 4,700 lbs of break out force. I would consider the condition of this unit very good. The paint is a little faded but no rust and the sheet metal is flawless. I have been very pleased with the performance of this machine. It is a proven design and very rugged.

Where can I get loader specs and engine Hp for this tractor. I have seen and heard of the 345c having 43 to 52 hp now and a loader lift capacity of 3000-6000lbs. Which are correct?

I have an original brochure for a 1990 345C which has all of the specs. The engine is 52 hp, loader rated for 3000 lbs.

Here are some figures for you from a Ford brochure on the industrial tractor loaders that I have:

Engine:
192-cubic inch displacement Ford diesel producing 56 hp. max gross and 52 hp. SAE net. (Your number of 43 hp. is likely the PTO horsepower.)

Hydraulic system:
Open center pump produces 26.0 gpm @ 2,200 engine rpm (impressive!)

Loader Capacity:
4,700-lbs. breakout force, 3,000-lbs. lift capacity to full height, 8'-6" dump clearance, Bucket - 3/4-yd.

Backhoe:
Ford made a quick-attach model 764 backhoe for the C-series tractor loader with 10'8" dig depth (You will likely have a difficult time finding one.)

Price:
Tractorhouse.com has three of the newer 345D tractors listed with pricing in the $19.950 - $26,000 range. The 345D is physically essentially the same as a 345C, just newer and has the 201 engine instead of the 192..

My gut reaction is that those dollars are a bit strong...but I need to remember that these tractors are absolute animals and NOTHING on the market today compares to these true, industrial tractors.

I'd say go for it if you can get it for a decent price. These tractors are as durable as you can get...not nimble, but durable.
