Ford 335
Greetings! This is my first post on this site. Looks to be a lot of knowledgeable folks.

I have a Ford 335 with what I think is a 735 loader. One of the bucket cylinders is leaking, and I figure I'll pull it off and get it rebuilt. When I pull it off, I'd like to cap the fittings on the cylinders, and plug the fittings on the open hose ends. I know I could probably get by with some rags or plastic bags to cover everything up, but I'd rather just use some metal caps and plugs, and be done with it.

I looked through the service manual, and operators manual, and for the life of me, I can't find any specs on what size caps and plugs I need. I assume they're NPT fittings?

Any idea what size caps and plugs I need to cap off the hose and the cylinder?

They are not NTP. A 735 I had several years back had SAE fittings in the cylinder and the hose end was JIC. I think they were #8 but can't swear to it.
Don't get metal caps anyway. Best to get the push on plastic caps that cylinders and hoses usually come with. Cheap as a match.

See what size wrench fits the line and go to the hydraulic hose place and tell them you need a JIC cap and plug to fit that wrench size. That usually works. They are cheap; maybe a couple dollars each and are handy to
have around.
