Ford 3000 Diesel tractor

I have a ford 3000 diesel tractor. When it is in gear, it has a whining or grinding noise coming from the tranny/rear end area. Sounds kinda like a steering pump when its going out, or maybe a throw out bearing in an ol chevy truck.

Any ideas as to what could be making this noise?
