Ford 2810 power steering cylinder removal

ive got a power steering assist cylinder leaking on my 2810,,I have everything loose but cannot get the ends out,,i have the nuts off the back, i tried tapping on the nut on the front one but no help,,didnt hit very hard,,,any help appreciated

do I need a ball joint separator

A little fyi...or u can go get someone who's mech for a while and take 2 hammers,,back it with the sledge and wail on it with the other and it will fall apart,,all in the experience
