3-Point Hitch ford 2120 3pt lift lever broke off

been a long time lurker of the sight and usually find the answers I am looking for. I hope someone can help me and I am attaching a parts diagram. My problem now is the shaft (#7) the the 3pt lift lever (#14) mounts to has broke off where it make the L shaped bend. After looking over the parts diagram (attached) it looks as if the lift cover has to be removed to replace the shaft (#7) Has anyone removed the lift cover from a 2120 that may give me some pointers?

I took this all apart a few years back on my 1920. No real advice, but it wasn't too hard. I guess the only think I can think of is to be careful of not ripping the gasket on the lift cylinder cover (flange w/ the lowering speed knob).

I would remove the shifter assembly, remove #7 by driving the pin out, wire brush the edges that broke off and clean up the joint well and weld it or have someone weld it. A bit of Ford blue spray paint and it'll be as good as new.
