Ford 2110 Compact tractor transmission HELP

Hi guys I need some HELP!.
I was mowing on Sunday morning and went to shift gears from 3ed to 2nd and went straight down and got it in 4th by mistake and now its stuck in 4th. I cannot get it to pop out of 4th, its stuck and I've done everything I can think of to get out. I tried to get it out by rolling with load with no load, shifting ranges and to reverse, engine off, engine running and pto on, pto off. Ive tried everything!

I don't want to pop the shift lever cover off since I don't want to get in over my head.
Dose anyone have experience with this issue or have a fix? Also the tractor is Located in Buffalo TX, if anyone's interested.

I checked and the fluid is topped off and fresh and the clutch feels good and doesn't need to be adjusted.

I don't know that tractor but I'd say go on and pop the cover off. Might just be stuck. Plus you'll be able to see if anything is broken.

Do you have the regular trans, twin stick? Range shifter on the left and trans shifter 1-4 on the right. Or do you have the shuttle shift?

I have had the same issues on my 1910 with twin sticks, for lack of a better term. On mine as I recall there are 4 bolts nearer the center of the cover one behind each stick and one in front of each, under these are detent balls and springs. Try taking the bolt out, put your thumb over the hole and move the lever out of gear, then just reinstall the bolt and you should be good to go!

Thanks guys, it has the 1-4 on the left and ranges and reverse on the right. I will try pulling the detent balls out to see if it will let it shift, if not I will pull the top cover. Question, do I need to pull the detent balls and springs out before pulling the top covered off? Also do can the gasket be reused or do I need to put some permatex on it to reseal it?

If its like mine, try removing the bolt closest to where it’s stuck, with thumb over hole before moving lever if not the detent ball will go flying! If you need to remove cover, YES remove detent ball and spring (all 4) first use a pick to remove, you don’t want to fish detent balls out of the bottom of the transmission (been there done that) if the gasket comes of in one piece just wipe and reinstall.
