Even better idea.

Probably cheapest and most rewarding in the long run compaired to 'parting' together a machine which almost certaintly will cost more than selling and buying another.. etc.

I realize this, and plan on selling the 3500 and getting a 545. I really don't need a larger tractor, but it's always better to have more than to need more:rolleyes:. Also 4wd really is mandatory for loader work, at least around here in Mass (too many hills and big stones).

If I worked on hills AND /OR did lots of loader work.. I'm sure I'd want 4wd and power steering. I'm lucky that the bulk of my loader work is on flat land and pretty much involves 'power-wheelbarrow' type duties.

Yep.. better to have more hp and not need it.. than to have not enough...
