Hello all,
My tractor is a 1968 Ford 2000 3cyl diesel. I've finished rebuilding the top lid and now my 3ptl is working as it did beforehand. New piston, honed cylinder o-rings, safety valve and relief valve. Oh and a very worn cam pin too.
Even when I first picked up the tractor around 7 years ago, the front end loader always struggled lifting a round bale (around 350kg's+). I had the cylinders rebuild as they were leaking, however didn't change its power. Now that I have the back end working correctly I'd like to look at the front end.
Under the seat is the remove valve control (I believe) which has two lines coming off it which supply fluid to the control valve for the FEL setup. I attached a pressure gauge to this and getting around 1000 psi only. The remote valve control unit has a casting number of C5NNB929. I replaced all of the o-rings on this when rebuilding the top lid. - The rings which meet the face of the top lid.
Is there any parts inside of the remote control valve (ie O-rings) which may have gone? I did see a video on YouTube for a later model Ford tractor which that fixed the low pressure.
Or is it likely I need to rebuild the hydraulic pump?
Any help would be appreciated..
