Ford 2000 hydraulic pipe question

Can I drill and tap a hydraulic connection so I can use a hose instead of the pipe on my ford 2000 tractor? Its got the wierdo fitting that hydraulic shops around here cant make a hose for and they have no fittings,seals, or o-rings for repairs either. My thinking is just make the hole fit the fitting. Am I thinking to far out of the box on this one? the runaround is making me dizzy

Or you could just buy the pressure nut and maybe a new tube from any New Holland Ag dealer, fix it and be done with it.

no you can do it like this i have seen many done like that. but it is probably cheaper to get a new tube and pressure nuts and be done with it.
