Ford 2000 1978-9? N9 gas tractor question,HELP

I just bought a boat anchor I am afraid. If someone can help me,I would feel better,Please!
Its a Ford 2000 N9 gas tractor and when I got it home could not get it off the trailer,because the PTO would not lift the bushhog, I also bought with it! Does anyone know the symptoms of a failed hydrolic pump in these kinds of things?? Please let me know,Also it it pours the gas out of the carb,and anti-freee leaks out of the head! Anyone thar might help me please let me know,I am not a farmer as yet for sure!

I think your 2000, haas the same hydrulic pump that was on the 860/960 It's a rotory ball afair, and if you have minor leaks and are a little low on oil and has sat for a long period of time it can just l9ose its prime. and will not prime itself if there is a load on the system, it's a good system . just has a hard time pumping air
