Time for a new seat on the 1920. Would appreciate any feedback from other Ford series 20 owners who purchased an aftermarket seat. Thanks.

I need a new seat for my 1920 also. It seems that the material they put on the seating surface is very thin compared to the original seats. I bought a replacement for my Ford 1700 and it cracked after a year or two. The problem with my seat is the metal in the seat is rusting away and falling apart. The seating surface material has no cracks.

The very reason I asked for feedback from owners who have purchased replacement seats. The ones I have seen don't look like they will hold up very well on an open station tractor. My old seat will be 30 years old next year and seat surface started splitting a couple of years ago.

Drill a weep hole in the lowest part of the metal seat for moisture drainage. Mine is oem and it is not rusted out yet, not the softest seat but it held up.

I see you are in the UP of Michigan. Come to Sault Ontario and use your stronger American dollar if that seat will work for you. We have them at both Peavey Mart and Princess Auto.

Thanks to all for the responses. Looked at seats at Amazon, various other online sources, and even places north of the border. Even thought about getting the seat reupholstered. Only problem with seat is vinyl cover. Solution finally fell into my lap literally. While cutting my front ditch, I found a black cushion that apparently blew out of a trailer. Cushion fit my existing seat almost perfectly and made the bottom seat portion way more comfortable. Good cheap solution for now.

I'm not sure how the 1920 seat mounts but will one of these aftermarket seats work?

This is what I have on my 3000. They are $165 here in Canada, but are available from many different sources. I find it comfortable and has adjustable suspension.

I have a version of that seat but the sides are bending on the back and bottom along with the vinyl covering pulling out of the piping used to hold it onto the metal.

Get a boat seat. There cheap, usualy use UV rated vinyl and come in many colors.
