Price Check Ford 1920 2wd with 860 hours

+1 on 4WD.

You might be able to find a 1720 or 1520 for less. We picked up our 1500 4WD w/ loader for ~5k. It's got enough power to run a 5' flail mower, even on moderate inclines.

Also with hills like that don't get one without Rops!

I traded in a couple years ago a cherry 1720 with a Stoll FEL. Had 850 hours, clean as a pin, and it was valued at 12,500. The 1920 is more tractor. For 55 acres I would look more for a utility tractor if possible. Something in the 3900 or 4000 series if blue is your color. It won't be cheap. But they are more capable and stable on the hills. Weight is your friend.

I bought my 1984 1710 in December with a loader and backhoe for $4000. It is only 2wd and has 3000 hours now but for weekend work - it does just fine. The backhoe provides more than enough weight even in the snow for me. But your hills look pretty steep.
