Hi All, I checked the search and didn't see my issue.
My ford 1910 front end was locked up in and out of 4wd. If I lift the front off the ground the front tires spin free in opposite directions.
I have the repair manual and it seems to me that the spider shaft pin is broken and the pin slid out, I had that happen in a truck before.
My question is can I pull the outer drive and axle tube off in one piece? I don't see a clip on the inner axle spline. :p

It does sound like the ring and pinion might have locked up. Yes you can take the axle shaft and tube out.

I would remove the drive shaft and see if it is the front axle locked or the trans. Will the tractor move and slide the front wheels in 2wd. What were you doing when this problem started.
