MIchael owner of a 1900
New member
I just bought a Ford 1900 2wd with a loader. The tractor is tight and runs great so far. The only issue I have is when I hooked to the bush hog and attempt to engage the pto it grinds like nobodys business.
This is done with the tractor at an idle, clutch depressed and transmission in neutral. The only way I can get it to engage without forcing it in gear is to kill the engine, engage it and then fire it up. It mows fine and everything seems to work well after it fires up. Any ideas?
I have been around tractors all my life, but this is the first one I owned, I know it not a high end tractor, buts it what I could afford and it does what I need it for.
