ford 1900 problem HELP NEEDED!!!!

Hi, I have a 1900 ford that has a hydraulic problem. I thought everything was ok, oil & filter was changed,radiator flushed refilled, last fall we cleaned the hydr.filter added new fluid, there is a new valve assembly. Just got back from a vacation in calf. last nite, we came home to 8 inches of snow here in Maine, so early this morning went out to the tractor put in the oil heater and I also use an electric heater on the right side to heat the engine and fuel system. Tractor started right up put the plow on everything was great for about an hour then the bucket was slow to work, also there was a slight howling sound, I shut down checked the hydra. it was a little low so I added more, Worked a while more, howling came back, the bucket froze (stopped working) I drove into the barn parked it, the bucket will not drop??? Anyone have an idea HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

You "cleaned the hydraulic filter"?
My Ford 1920 has a spin on filter,..... the 1900 does not?
I have never heard of cleaning a hydraulic (spin on?) filter.
Could the filter now be plugged, causing hydraulic system itself to be locked?

The ford 1900 has an internal filter, a real pia to get to and clean any other ideas to help me out?

Why didn't you just replace the filter? Do all the other FEL functions work? If so, maybe you have a problem with your valve.

Sure you got all the water out when you changed the hydro fluid? If it was below freezing last night you might have ice or slush in the pickup/screen?
