Ford 1900 4wd
Hey all, Newbie here and need some help I just bought a Ford 1900 4wd tractor and want to drain the hydraulic/transmission fluid and need to know first how long the dipstick is supposed to be? Mine only has the cap as the rod is missing from it. And 2nd where can I purchase one from as I'm not having much luck finding one on google. Thanks all!!!

Welcome to the site!!

The missing dip stick is about 5" long.

Your local NH dealer can get you one. Odds are they will have to order it though, and it wont be cheap.
We have a 1920 and I cringe when I have to go to the dealer...it's worse than the wallet rape mother Deer puts on a guy.

You’re replying to a 9 year old post. Best start a new thread…with some more info. But if you have a 1900 or a 1920 the answer is already right there for you 😬

Yep, the rod fell off of my 1900 also a long while back. I bought a replacement from New Holland. It was around $30 at the time 10 years or 15 ago.
And that guy is right. It's about 5" long or so.
